About the role
- Manage preparing and reviewing loan documentation and support tasks related to the loan process
- Independently process and close loans within a complex loan operations environment
- Escalate control gaps and issues to senior management
- Identify loan related control deficiencies and implement procedures and solutions to mitigate risk
- Provide process improvements and develop new techniques for loan documentation processes
- Resolve complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of loan procedures and industry standards
- Contribute to change-the-bank projects and offer advanced solutions
- Coach and train new recruits; assume informal/formal leadership roles within the team
- Create and maintain relationships with colleagues, management, internal/external clients and stakeholders
- Persuade and influence through collaborative communication; negotiate with external parties when needed
- Assess risk when business decisions are made and drive compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations
- Supervise activity of others and create accountability for maintaining standards
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience
- Reasonable knowledge of Business Processes, Systems and Tools used in the Loan Process
- Demonstrate understanding of Loan Processes, Procedures, Products and Services
- General awareness of managing, preparing, and reviewing loan documentation
- Adequate ability to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues
- Awareness of risk types, policies and control measures and processes
- Comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and adhering to Policies
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and diplomacy skills
- Good analytical skills
- Experience coaching and training junior staff
