About the role
- The EDO Business Unit Manager is responsible for accomplishing results through management of a professional team or department
Manage administrative activities such as external audits, business continuity, regulatory issues
Coordinate tracking of business financials, headcount, admin needs, ad hoc projects
Maintain operating rhythm with leadership focusing on priorities and deliverables
Partner with Functions Data Lead and senior leadership to deliver objectives
Create methodologies, procedures and governance for productivity and expense targets
Evaluate and approve investment/expenditure requests and capital expenses
Engage in cost management, validate spending and cost saving initiatives
Identify opportunities to optimize costs and lead expense planning
Drive organization/operating model reviews
Provide leadership and promote business ties with internal/external senior leaders
Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, policy and controls
Develop financial projections and ensure compliance with financial guidelines
Support Data Lead in delivery of commitments and strategy implementation
Assist in internal audit reviews and ensure regulatory compliance
Ensure people strategy and organizational capabilities align to business strategy
Support headcount and hiring processes
Oversee VOE work streams with Communications and HR teams
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in financial services
Experience in people management
Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology
Proven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and cultures
Proven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to navigate a cross functional organization
Strong understanding of financial concepts
