About the role
- Develop or significantly influence event strategy, including recommending event types, locations, and formats based on business goals.
- Manage event budgets, with authority to approve or reallocate funds within established limits.
- Negotiate vendor contracts and partnerships, exercising judgment to commit company resources.
- Collaborate internal and external teams during event planning and execution.
- Resolve unexpected issues on-site using independent judgment to protect business interests.
- Gather merchant and customer feedback during events and provide input to improve future executions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, event management or related field
- 2+ years of experience in event planning or management, field marketing , or corporate events
- Experience in event planning, managing event budgets, negotiating vendor contracts and overseeing on-site operations.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functional teams and external partners during planning and execution.
- Proven ability to manage events from initial planning through successful execution and closure.
- Valid Driver’s license and ability to drive for event-related responsibilities.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is required; proficiency in Cantonese is preferred
- Familiarity with the Asian restaurant industry or foodservice events preferred.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) is required.
- Basic familiarity with event tools or design platforms (e.g., Canva, Trello, or similar) are preferred.
