About the role
- Supporting the accounting process for month-end close with accruals and re-class activity as needed
- Developing and managing budgets and forecasts for business partners
- Completing monthly variance reporting for multiple department budgets
- Building models to analyze data, explain variances, and prepare presentation materials
- Partnering with the business to provide insights on spending trends and cost-saving initiatives
- Creating various reporting tools for analytics and ad hoc requests
- Performing variance and trend analysis while highlighting risks and opportunities in relation to budget, forecast, and prior years
- Supporting the CFO / Finance Director on key projects, analysis, and ad hoc requests
- Aligning with corporate culture, mission, and core values in all aspects of work
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, Required
- 1–3 years of experience in healthcare industry preferred
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems
- Understanding of accounting concepts with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines
- Works well in a fast-paced, fluid environment
