About the role
- Support the accuracy, completeness, and continuous improvement of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform.
- Maintain Configuration Items (CIs), relationships, and supporting processes such as Discovery and Service Mapping.
- Ensure the CMDB remains a reliable source of truth by maintaining accurate data and supporting compliance efforts.
- Support day-to-day CMDB operations, data entry, and basic reporting; assist with audits under close supervision.
- Support the automation and visualization of infrastructure and service relationships through Discovery and Service Mapping initiatives.
- Provide insights and visibility into CMDB and asset management performance through reporting and analytics.
- Stay current with trends, best practices, and new ServiceNow platform features through regular training and self-study.
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of Configuration Management processes and governance frameworks.
- Work under close supervision and collaborate with senior team members to ensure alignment with industry standards and organizational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years' experience in technical, information systems, or related roles accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience in technical, information systems, or related roles accepted in lieu of a degree.
- High School diploma, or equivalent, and 7 or more years' experience in technical, information systems, or related roles accepted in lieu of a degree.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator Required within 180 days.
- ITIL Foundations Certification Preferred (ITIL Certification Highly Preferred at time of hire).
- ServiceNow experience preferred.
- Focus on analysis, process improvement, and technical roles preferred.
- Candidates must live within driving distance of the main campus in KCMO / Kansas City metro area.
- Seasonal influenza vaccine is a condition of employment; must be willing to be vaccinated if found non-immune to MMR and varicella and/or without evidence of Tdap since 2005; must supply immunization records (medical/religious exemptions can be discussed).
- Background check and drug screen will be performed upon hire.
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday, typical hours 8-5.
