About the role

  • Finance business partnering with UK, Pureplayer, Australia, and New Zealand regional teams to drive insight and support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing activities, reviews of sales and cost GL accounts, and variance analysis.
  • Perform monthly Balance Sheet accrual reviews and resolve aged or material items.
  • Lead monthly SLT P&L review meetings, prepare pre-reads and distribute agendas.
  • Explain variances against forecasts and prior year results, highlight risks and opportunities, and follow up on actions.
  • Collaborate with Global Shared Services to improve transactional accounting processes.
  • Provide weekly sales reports, engage in SISO meetings, and assess sales and weeks of cover assumptions.
  • Oversee weeks of cover reporting and monitor retailer performance and trends.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, schedule review meetings and ensure alignment with global deadlines.
  • Review and challenge budget and forecast submissions, verify assumptions and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with commercial and supply chain teams to align financial budgeting with regional demand plans.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative stakeholder relationships and promote transparent communication.
  • Support preparation and post-review of business cases for distribution, marketing and promotional investments.
  • Evaluate marketing ROI and perform in-depth analyses of P&L cost lines for cost control.
  • Promote team coaching and professional development, lead process improvement initiatives, and ensure strong financial control environment.

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 2+ years post qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in managing commercial finance teams and business partnering in multi country regions.
  • Experience in the premium retail sector and/or FMCG desirable.
  • Understanding of global company operations, processes and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles (UK GAAP / IFRS), financial modelling, and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Independent thinker and driven to achieve best results.
  • Ability to prioritise and provide follow up in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g. ERP systems, advanced Excel).
  • Experience using Anaplan and Netsuite highly desirable.
