About the role

  • Providing excellent administrative support primarily to the transaction liability team and other underwriting teams to meet target turnaround times
  • Managing the underwriting central inboxes and logging new and renewal submissions on CFC’s internal underwriting system
  • Preparing various activity reports and spreadsheets as directed
  • Administering the department diary, chasing outstanding items such as subjectivities and assisting with invoicing and client setup
  • Answering incoming calls and fielding queries as appropriate
  • Reviewing and amending transaction documents including non-disclosure and hold harmless letters
  • Working with support functions to ensure timely progression of transactions from initial submission to policy binding (administrative aspects)
  • General ad-hoc administrative duties as required

Requirements

  • Recently left or due to leave higher education with outstanding results in a commercial subject like Law, Economics or Accounting
  • Entry level role — no Insurance experience required
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of mergers and acquisitions (preferable)
  • Background in law, business, finance or related study field (preferred)
  • Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet tight deadlines and turnaround times
  • Excellent level of attention to detail including accurate written and numeracy skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications - Outlook, Word and particularly Excel
  • Working proficiency in Spanish, French and/or Italian
