About the role
- Drive and coordinate engagement and trading activity across CFC’s USA broker base
- Define and deliver the USA distribution strategy and own a regional distribution plan
- Collaborate with specialist underwriting teams to understand product strategy and coordinate regional development activity
- Focus and direct underwriting engagement toward the most exciting broker opportunities to generate new revenue and market share
- Represent CFC as the regional leader and act as the main point of contact for key broker stakeholders
- Oversee trading activity and relationship management within the region
- Help brokers understand and navigate CFC and establish multi-layered contact frameworks
- Build out local sales strategy and shape a best-in-class local sales and distribution culture
- Design regional distribution plans aligned to broader USA strategy and evidence delivery through KPIs (new broker appointments, trading volume, brand awareness)
- Identify key broker partnerships and coordinate CFC’s sales and development activity to navigate each trading relationship
- Translate broker strategy insight into clear product class strategies
- Produce opportunities to secure new business leveraging national agreements, MI and technology
- Work closely with underwriting teams to understand proposition, appetite and capability and communicate product strategy effectively to the regional market
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of the commercial insurance market within their region
- Solid broker-facing experience in a sales or underwriting environment
- Strong relationships within the retail brokerage space across commercial lines
- Deep understanding of wholesale and retail channels in the region and the dynamics driving both channels
- Demonstrable experience building new relationships and evolving existing relationships
- Proven track record for delivering exceptional results
- Experience across multiple products and lines
- Passion for sales and development
- Confident dealing with and influencing stakeholders at every level
- Proven ability to lead through influence
