About the role

  • Be the main point of outreach and contact for brokers within the regional territory; generate new opportunities and manage trading challenges effectively within the region
  • Design a regional distribution plan aligned to the broader USA distribution strategy and evidence delivery through agreed KPIs (new broker appointments, increased trading volume, elevated brand awareness)
  • Identify key broker partnerships and new opportunities to deliver growth and coordinate CFC’s sales and development activity
  • Build a deep understanding of broker strategies in the region and translate that insight into clear and effective product class strategies
  • Produce opportunities to secure new business through sales and development activity leveraging existing national agreements, MI and technology
  • Work closely with underwriting teams to understand proposition, appetite and capability and communicate product strategy effectively to the regional market
  • Represent CFC as the regional leader and main point of contact for key broker stakeholders; oversee trading activity and relationship management
  • Help brokers better understand and navigate CFC and establish multi-layered contact frameworks between CFC and broker partners
  • Play a critical role in building out local sales strategy and shaping a best-in-class local sales and distribution culture at CFC

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of the commercial insurance market within their region
  • Solid broker-facing experience in a sales or underwriting environment
  • Strong relationships within the retail brokerage space across commercial lines insurance
  • Deep understanding of wholesale and retail channels in the region and the dynamics driving both channels
  • Demonstrable experience building new relationships and evolving existing relationships
  • Proven track record for delivering exceptional results
  • Experience across multiple products and lines
  • Passion for sales and development
  • Confidence dealing with and influencing stakeholders at every level
  • Proven ability to lead through influence
