Provide strategic leadership and business development focus to drive CFAR's coaching practice toward growth targets
Balance external relationship building, strategic planning, and coach network cultivation with collaborative internal coordination
Reports to CFAR President/CEO and supervises and works in daily partnership with Coaching Practice Manager
Collaborate regularly with CFAR Consultants on client development and participate in firm leadership meetings and retreats
Drive practice growth through active business development and proactively engage with consulting teams to identify coaching opportunities
Build relationships where CFAR can become the go-to coaching provider for executive development and develop strategic partnerships for multi-executive initiatives
Target CFAR's traditional market areas while building coach expertise aligned with these practice areas and identify new partnership opportunities
Conduct competitive analysis and refine positioning, pricing, and differentiation strategies
Serve as primary relationship manager for coach network, recruit coaches with specialized expertise, interview and approve new coach additions, and maintain network quality standards
Provide thought partnership and support to coaches on complex engagements and foster referrals and business development from within the coach network
Partner closely with Coaching Practice Manager on proposals, pricing, complex coach matching decisions, and practice performance indicators
Requirements
10+ years of business development and/or practice management experience in professional services
Demonstrated success in growing a practice or business unit
Strong network in executive coaching, consulting, or related fields
Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills
Experience managing professional networks or contractor relationships
Track record of strategic thinking and execution
Demonstrated experience/credibility in executive coaching (ICF certification preferred)
Seeking external candidate with fresh perspective and established market relationships
Alignment with CFAR's relationship-focused, systems-thinking approach
Ability to navigate a matrixed organization collaboratively
Comfort with CFAR's consultative, non-transactional client engagement style
