About the role
- Design and supervise provision of evidence-based mental health services and programs for children with autism and/or developmental disabilities in home, school and other natural settings
- Independently conduct regular home visits for assigned caseload to provide parent education, supervise program implementation, monitor documentation completion, and provide in-field training
- Educate families on importance of maintaining consistent schedule and clinically appropriate hours for clients
- Complete necessary documentation including treatment plans, data sheets, behavioral support plans, progress reports, discharge reports, and other site-related documents
- Monitor daily direct service appointments for completion and accurate notes, cancellations, and maintain progress notes for supervision hours
- Maintain and document supervision hours in CSD’s billing program and records of templates/forms
- Write, sign and submit progress reports to funding sources and maintain a database of report deadlines for assigned caseload
- Meet daily and monthly billable hours goals
- Provide clinical support and training to assigned team, hold monthly 1:1 and team meetings, create individualized trainings, and complete trainings assigned by Regional Director
- Evaluate clinical performance of supervisees and communicate concerns to Regional Director
- Supervise and guide staff with clinical processes including BIPs, assessments, session plans, lesson plans, reports and data collection
- Maintain regular communication with HR and Regional Director regarding administrative concerns
- Stay current on research and developments related to autism, special education, and related fields
- Attend staff meetings, in-services, trainings and other meetings as requested
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines: psychology, childhood development, childhood education, special education, pediatric therapy (physical, occupational, or speech therapy), or related field
- BCBA Credential Required
- Two years of related professional experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders and/or other related developmental disabilities in a multi-disciplinary team setting
- Proven successful experiences with a full ABA caseload
- Knowledgeable of methodologies found to benefit children with autism spectrum disorders, including Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), TEACCH, PECS, and PRT
- Knowledgeable of School Continuum of Services and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Knowledgeable of other community resources and agencies that serve children
- Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population
- Able to travel to and work in multiple program service areas; reliable transportation needed (proof of valid driver license, current auto insurance identification card, and acceptable driving record per NIAC standards is required)
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; bilingual ability preferred
- Able to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills
- Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment
- Able to appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations
- Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 20 pounds
