Security Engineer

• Exposed to areas of governance such as cyber risk management, and policy and procedures
• Work on a range of tasks in which the Cyber Governance team is involved
• Gain hands-on experience in all areas of security governance
• Interact with members of the Global Cyber Security Team
• Triage and solve problems with delegated tasks
• Become familiar with current cyber security threats and technologies
• Update procedures and methodologies to improve governance processes
• Assist the Cyber Governance team with day-to-day activities

Cybersecurity Governance Intern

Full-stack Engineer

• Work on real applications that are destined for production use
• Work hand-in-hand with Cboe stakeholders to design and develop solutions for real business problems
• Join a Scrum team dedicated to your summer project and attend all Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-up, weekly review and retrospective, sprint planning)
• Work with business owners and the Cboe UX team to iterate on a design proposal
• Implement a solution using the Cboe web technologies, including Python, Django and ReactJS
• Collaborate with Cboe web interns and mentors on code review and best practices
• Write comprehensive tests that cover application functionality
• Review your solution with business owners and end users, collecting and incorporating feedback
• Deliver your final product to Cboe business owners with a production deployment

Software Engineer Intern, Web

• Develop and implement quantitative software applications to process and analyze real-time financial market data in a high-performance computing environment.
• Maintain and optimize existing software applications, and recommend and implement improvements.
• Write technical specifications, project plans, and technical documentation; translate business requirements into functional specifications and project plans.
• Regular communication with management and technical colleagues.
• Processing, collecting and analyzing financial market data, including high frequency real-time pricing data and reference data.
• Monitor and improve the quality of analytical data generated from our applications; develop/work with reference data team to add or modify reference data sources.

• Support the VP Head of Global Derivatives Business Strategy and team in sizing market opportunities and building business cases
• Report the state of capital markets trends and prepare evidence-driven analyses of major trends in capital markets, banking, data, fintech, technology, and financial services

• Provide evidence for business cases and support group initiatives from planning, communication, and execution standpoints
• Provide data analysis on trends impacting derivatives markets and participants

Research Intern – Global Derivatives Business Strategy

Analyst

• Maintain and support enterprise Identity Governance and Access Management security solutions throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Assist team members in administering user accounts and access privileges in the organization’s identity management system
• Work closely with the IAM and Audit/compliance teams to ensure that the right people have access to the right resources
• Perform day-to-day administration of the IAM system
• Troubleshooting and resolving IAM issues
• Work with internal customers, business analysts, and application teams to gather IAM requirements
