About the role
- Manage tax compliance processes across Spain, Switzerland, and the US
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations for all entities
- Oversee the finance inbox and ensure timely responses
- Manage regular payment runs
- Support accounts payable and complete bank reconciliations
- Prepare and issue invoices
- Post prepayments and accruals
- Maintain accounting for fixed and intangible assets
- Take ownership of expense accounting across group entities
- Update and report weekly cash balances
- Handle ad-hoc finance tasks as required
- Reports to the Head of Finance and communicates with the other Financial Accountant and occasionally the CFO
- Temporary 6-month contract providing cover during team leave; based in Barcelona (hybrid)
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and multi-entity finance operations
- Experience with international tax compliance (Spain, Switzerland, US desirable)
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Proactive mindset and ability to work independently
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel
- Fluency in English and a high level of Spanish
- Minimum 100% availability as an employee of Spotlio Spain SL
- Willingness to work outside office hours with notice
