• Write a weekly City Cast Denver newsletter focused on small businesses and local shopping, with a clear point of view and a strong, engaging voice.
• Create a timely shopping guide in each issue, curating smart, specific recommendations tied to the moment (for example: top spots for Broncos gear, Stock Show ’fits, or seasonal gift guides).
• Develop a complementary second segment each week, either profiling a specific local business or breaking down a trend affecting Denver’s small business ecosystem.
• Pitch a cohesive newsletter plan each week, ensuring that the shopping guide and second segment are connected thematically without feeling repetitive.
• Proactively identify, reach out to, and interview small business owners, operators, and experts for the profile and reporting portions of the newsletter.

• Produce original enterprise and accountability journalism that holds power to account and helps residents understand what’s really happening in DC.
• Develop and own a signature coverage area — breaking news, cultivating sources, and becoming the go-to voice for that slice of DC life.
• Carry weight as a public-facing personality, representing City Cast DC with confidence, credibility, and warmth.
• Write a distinctive, voice-driven newsletter that delivers clarity, context, and urgency to readers.
• Contribute regularly on the City Cast DC podcast, preparing as needed, speaking clearly and engagingly about your reporting while bringing your local knowledge and personality to the conversation
• Create regular social media posts and videos that extend the reach of your reporting and connect with the City Cast DC audience.
• Contribute out of the box ideas about how to cover DC with vigor, creativity, and singular focus
• Occasionally record ads for sponsors across all platforms

Account Executive

• Owning revenue generation and account strategy across named Retail, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Industrial accounts.
• Positioning CAST’s software intelligence platform to help customers improve development efficiency, remediate technical debt, gain command of their software estates, and accelerate modernization initiatives.
• Engaging directly with C-suite, C-1, and VP-level leaders including CIOs, CTOs, Chief Digital Officers, Heads of Engineering, Architecture leaders, and Line-of-Business executives.
• Driving executive-level conversations around digital transformation, platform modernization, operational resilience, and readiness for AI and Agentic AI.
• Building and executing strategic account plans that create recurring software and services revenue.
• Partnering closely with Tier 1 management consultancies, Big 4 firms, GSIs, cloud providers, and specialized advisory partners to influence large transformation programs.
• Developing new partner relationships while expanding existing ones to generate joint pipeline and closed business.
• Acting as a senior ambassador for CAST across enterprise verticals—establishing credibility, opening new markets, and positioning CAST as a strategic platform partner.
• Driving deals from concept to close while maintaining strong customer satisfaction and long-term value creation.

• Be the cultural pulse of the brand on social media, knowing what matters to the local community, who is influencing local culture, and what content matters most to our audience
• Use this knowledge to inform local podcast and newsletter topics and also to inform HQ marketing approaches
• Work with Executive Producer, Creative Producers and Host to develop content and engagement approaches across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Reddit
• Engage with our audience daily across all platforms, including monitoring and responding to comments and DMs on IG, TT, Spotify, YouTube, Reddit and other key audience touchpoints
