About the role
- Be the trusted technical expert for our digital X-ray solutions — installing, maintaining, and servicing systems at customer sites
- Work directly with hospital staff, imaging centers, and healthcare professionals to ensure equipment is running optimally and reliably
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex issues involving CR/DR X-ray systems, laser imagers, CT scanners, radio fluoroscopy equipment, and networked medical devices
- Serve as a key liaison between Carestream and the customer — combining technical knowledge with outstanding relationship-building skills
- Analyze system trends, document service activity, and contribute to continuous product and service improvements
- Enjoy a high degree of autonomy — work independently from a home office, with support from a regional team of skilled engineers
- Travel within your assigned territory with occasional overnight stays
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in diagnostic imaging preferably in a field service environment
- Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience; BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred
- Knowledge of computers and networking; PC competency to include utilization of Microsoft Office Suite products
- Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment
- Ability to understand and utilize technical vocabulary to perform tasks according to verbal or written instructions
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and site drawings with minimal assistance
- Ability to display strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, self-discipline, and autonomy to work independently in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to adapt to changing work requirements in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively operate in a team-driven environment and share knowledge to achieve assigned goals and objectives
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that is compliant with Fleet Policy
