About the role

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with brand and business goals.
  • Create and manage content calendar; oversee creation, editing, and publishing across web platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and compliance.
  • Work with CX team to develop audience segmentation strategies and personalize content based on user behavior and preferences.
  • Implement and manage content governance workflows including version control, approval processes, and compliance tracking.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and SEO audits to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Optimize on-page elements including metadata, headers, internal linking, and content structure.
  • Monitor and improve site performance, page speed, and mobile usability in collaboration with web developers.
  • Stay current with SEO tools, algorithm updates, AI advancements, and industry best practices; integrate into SEO workflows.
  • Conduct content audits to identify outdated or underperforming pages and execute pruning or historical optimization.
  • Track and report on key SEO and content performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve organic visibility, engagement, and traffic forecasts.
  • Apply A/B testing, CRO techniques, and attribution modeling to understand SEO’s impact across the customer journey.
  • Coordinate with marketing, product, compliance, and IT teams and with external vendors or agencies for technical or content enhancements.
  • Ensure content adheres to regulatory and ethical standards as required by Delta Dental of Massachusetts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SEO content strategy, digital marketing, or content management.
  • Proficiency with CMS platforms (preferably Sitecore) and experience with WordPress or similar CMS.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console).
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools for content creation, optimization, and trend analysis.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) and attribution modeling.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; experience working cross-functionally with data, design, product, compliance, and IT teams.
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors or agencies for SEO audits, content creation, or technical enhancements.
  • Preferred: Experience working in a regulated industry (insurance or healthcare preferred).
  • Preferred: Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and content governance.
  • Preferred: Understanding of customer journey and user intent.
  • Preferred: Experience with HTML/CSS and basic web development concepts.
