About the role
- Develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One.
- Shape the strategic direction of Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) and create the first Business Analysis function within ESM.
- Collaborate closely with Data and Financial Analyst teams and stakeholders across IT, Sales, Operations, Finance.
- Potential P&L accountability for a business segment and short-term (1-6 month) strategic planning.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of analysts; mentor associates across the organization.
- Develop and implement product and pricing strategies; lead product-level modeling and analytics.
- Lead marketing efforts and build targeted insights to inform customer experiences and go-to-market strategies.
- Drive credit risk improvements by creating risk models, testing hypotheses, and conducting rigorous monitoring and analysis.
- Coordinate across lines of business to build requirements, sequence delivery, and oversee multiple projects/programs concurrently.
- Influence technology investments, assess risk, and grow diverse supplier pools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering).
- At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis.
- At least 2 years of experience in qualitative analysis.
- At least 1 year of experience in people management.
- At least 1 year of experience in project management.
- Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in qualitative analysis preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in people management preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in product development preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in financial modeling preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in economic forecasting preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in project management preferred.
- Previous consulting experience is a plus.
- Strong executive communication skills and strategic influencing abilities.
- Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity.
