About the role
- General PM responsibility for all aspects of API management within Capital One, setting the standard for application integration excellence across the enterprise
- Identify highest leverage opportunities and ensure roadmaps are optimized to meet business outcomes
- Advocate for the needs of the developer and the business
- Engage all stakeholders (Business, Engineering, Architecture, Risk, and Cyber) directly to serve as the voice of the customer - identify new capabilities, define product features, and work closely with development teams to launch those features
- Set strategic vision and drive team roadmaps, and regularly engage and update Leadership and stakeholders
- Partner with engineering leadership across multiple teams, ensuring strong collaboration and alignment among your teams
- Own the product management practice within your organization, defining expectations and commitments and driving continuous improvement
- Operationalizing product metrics for the products you own and building business cases for new investment
- Influencing senior stakeholders to adopt your products and building buy in and trust by sharing out the consequent business impact
- Engage with engineering teams, data scientists, senior business leaders; mentor and elevate product teams.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience working in Product Management
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field or A Master's Degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
- People leadership experience of product management team(s) (preferred)
- Experience with API platforms or API management in an enterprise environment (preferred)
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or similar familiarity with AWS or other Cloud platforms (preferred)
