Managing a variety of procurement contracts escalated to Legal from our Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) team
Providing advice and counsel to ESM
Managing (including drafting and negotiating) procurement transactions that support various lines of business
Identifying legal issues and risks in procurement and outsourcing contracts
Building and maintaining strong relationships with ESM and legal stakeholders
Managing repeatable, controlled processes for transactional work
Managing and coordinating outside counsel when necessary
Creating reports and discussing trends/metrics with senior leaders in Legal and ESM
Acting as a backup Legal representative in procurement risk gate meetings
Delegating/managing assignments to a team of backup attorneys as needed
Requirements
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing of at least one state bar
At least 2 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, government or an in-house legal department, or a combination, with a focus on third party procurement, vendor or outsourcing transactions
3+ years of combined experience as an attorney in a law firm or in-house counsel legal department with a focus on third party procurement, vendor or outsourcing transactions (preferred)
2+ years of experience providing advice and counsel on complex procurement transactions (preferred)
2+ years of experience in the financial services industry (preferred)
Experience identifying issues related to privacy (preferred)
Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple transactions or matters, take on new responsibilities and handle novel issues
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Experience with Google Workspace
