About the role
- At-A-Glance: Serve as a customer-focused leader responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, team development, financial performance, and strategic planning.
- Staff Development & Leadership: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team; ensure staff training in landlord/tenant statutes, Fair Housing, and safety regulations; promote harmonious relationships; encourage team visibility on campus and local community.
- Property Administration: Oversee daily operations including leasing, maintenance, customer service, and vendor management; implement systems to drive efficiency; supervise maintenance and contracted services; ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
- Financial Performance: Maintain occupancy rates at or above 99% and collections at or above 98%; maximize NOI through cost control and budgeting; ensure property management systems are up to date; analyze financial reports and manage budgets; oversee payroll, invoicing, and hiring documentation.
- Customer Experience & Sales: Develop and execute annual marketing plan; track leasing goals; maintain brand across channels; conduct market research; plan resident events; collaborate with local schools and student organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred OR 2–5 years of experience in student or multifamily housing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel , and property management software ( Entrata preferred).
- Working knowledge of market rate and LIHTC programs , Fair Housing Laws , and EEO laws .
- Strong skills in staff recruitment and development, financial management, marketing strategy, scheduling, and operational oversight.
