About the role
- Develop new customers and greenfield markets while supporting existing Calix customers
- Work with existing teams to support customers and target new prospects in the region
- Build a local strategy to enhance Calix penetration in the market
- Manage the complete and complex sales-cycle
- Ensure Calix is positively positioned to win new business in new accounts
- Grow revenue, lock out competition and uncover new opportunities
Requirements
- 5+ years of quota carrying value-based technology sales and market development experience
- In-depth understanding of Broadband Service Provider business in the Africa Region
- Proven record of winning new accounts, not only managing existing relationships
- Track record of over-achieving quota (top 10-20% of company) in past positions
- Comfortable and compelling both on the phone, and in the boardroom
- Consistent earnings history representative of plan over-achievement
- Candidates must be competitive, cooperative, collaborative and work well with customers both internal and external.
- Bachelor or University Degree strongly preferred
- Regional Travel is required, approximately 50%-75%
