About the role

  • Provide a friendly and safe environment for guests and team members while protecting company assets
  • Operate as the command post, communications center and dispatching station for Security Operations
  • Greet guests and team members and handle most contact via telephone
  • Communicate with patrons over the telephone and present a pleasant, courteous personality
  • Verify required equipment is on hand and functioning properly
  • Perform data entry for applicable programs and multitask phones, radio, monitors, and cameras
  • Review accessible video cameras and report malfunctions; know camera coverage and sequencing
  • Monitor alarm systems and notify proper emergency personnel upon activation
  • Routinely patrol assigned areas, assist guests, and be alert for suspicious circumstances and safety hazards
  • Exercise good judgment to resolve customer complaints and coordinate with other departments
  • Provide medical assistance as a First Responder (First Aid and CPR) when necessary
  • Interview, investigate, and document incidents requiring Security intervention
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures and meet attendance guidelines
  • Assist civil and law enforcement authorities, including testimony in court and administrative proceedings

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent is required
  • 1 to 2 years preferred prior security experience
  • Prior experience in a position with direct guest contact preferred
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of basic computer programs
  • Must be able to obtain and possess a Nevada Gaming Card
  • Must obtain an Alcohol Awareness Card (AES)
  • Current and valid Nevada Driver’s License required
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must pass physical and written testing of the Western Division Security Academy within first 90 days
  • Must re-certify between years 2 and 3 through the Western Division Security Academy
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds and push or pull up to 150 pounds
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads and maneuver quickly
  • Must be able to physically restrain individuals when necessary
  • Must be able to give court testimony and write detailed reports
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
