About the role
- Conduct mobile patrols and respond to security incidents across assigned sites
- Maintain communication with fellow guards, dispatch, clients, and management
- Document and investigate incidents, complaints, and deficiencies
- Ensure site staff comply with Paladin Security policies and procedures
- Provide timely reporting and documentation to shift leads and management
- Respond immediately to emergencies and coordinate actions per procedures
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, appearance, and client service
- Perform duties within the scope of federal, provincial, and municipal laws
- Additional duties as required
- Work continental rotation schedule (0800–2000 / 2000–0800)
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (WSIB-approved)
- Proof of two COVID-19 vaccinations
- Up-to-date immunization records (MMR, Varicella, TB Skin Tests – Step 1 & 2)
- Valid G-level driver’s license with a clean 3-year abstract
- Minimum 1 year of security experience
- English fluency (oral and written)
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Ability to attend 5 days of blended pre-employment training at Kingston Branch (unpaid)
- (Nice to Have) Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and/or Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- (Nice to Have) Willingness to complete Paladin’s UoF/MOAB training program
- (Nice to Have) Commitment to remain in the position for at least 6 months following training
