About the role
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with business leaders across our Clinics and Cromwell Hospital to understand strategic priorities, challenges, and opportunities
- Act as the primary liaison between the business and the data function, ensuring alignment of data initiatives with clinical, operational, and commercial goals
- Translate business needs into data opportunities and work with Data Product Owners (DPOs) to shape and prioritise product roadmaps
- Define and maintain a portfolio view of data initiatives, prioritising based on business value, feasibility, and strategic alignment
- Advocate for data-driven decision-making and champion the adoption and effective use of data products across the organisation
- Collaborate with DPOs and analysts to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of dashboards, reports, and data models that meet business needs
- Define and track success metrics for data product adoption, performance, and impact
- Represent the domain in cross-functional data governance, architecture, and strategy forums to ensure alignment with enterprise data standards and policies
- Identify and mitigate risks related to data quality, privacy, and compliance within the domain
- Support the Head of Data in aligning domain-level data initiatives with the broader enterprise data strategy and transformation agenda
Requirements
- Proven experience in data strategy, product ownership, or business partnering roles within a data or analytics function
- Strong understanding of data concepts including governance, lifecycle management, and data product development
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into data opportunities and prioritise initiatives based on impact and feasibility
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with experience influencing senior leaders
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including analysts, engineers, and product owners
- Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
- Ability to define and track success metrics for data product adoption and performance
- Understanding of data quality, privacy, and compliance considerations
- Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake
