Join forces with the Vice President of Business Development to generate new business opportunities and expand customer base in the insurance industry.
Analyze current customer accounts to establish cross-sell/account rounding opportunities and manage a portfolio of lost accounts to win back business.
Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers on existing accounts to deepen engagement and identify referrals.
Generate new business leads from lost accounts, industry listings, networking, and referrals; maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline opportunities.
Collaborate with marketing and advertising teams to develop and implement effective sales campaigns.
Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in insurance policies and regulations.
Collaborate with Customer Service Team on daily policy management duties for an established book of business, including reviewing in-force policies to identify cross-selling opportunities.
Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities; work with underwriters to obtain timely quotes; prepare renewal presentations and bind/reissue policies.
Requirements
Commercial property and casualty insurance experience a plus.
Proven capabilities in marketing-related duties with an understanding of multiple rating platforms through national and regional insurance carriers.
Preference given to applicants with retail agency experience.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
State insurance license required within the first 90 days of employment.
Ability to analyze customer accounts and identify cross-sell/account rounding opportunities.
Experience collaborating with insurance company underwriters and preparing renewal presentations.
