• You develop and operate test environments for flight and aerospace systems – from test specifications through automated test execution to integration into HIL and SIL setups.
• You work closely with development, systems engineering, software, hardware, aerodynamics and, where applicable, project management.
• Depending on your experience, you may also take on technical responsibility or project management for the test area.
• Set up, further develop and maintain test environments for unmanned aerial systems (UAS/UAV) and aviation-specific systems.
• Create test specifications, test cases, test procedures and test reports.
• Develop and automate tests for Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments.
• Integrate test automation into existing development, simulation and CI/CD processes.
• Coordinate test objectives, test coverage and acceptance criteria with development teams, systems engineering and customers.
• Execute, analyze and evaluate system, integration and regression tests.
• Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and assessment of system behavior.
• Contribute to the integration, commissioning and validation of hardware-related test systems.
• Document test results in a traceable, auditable format.

• Translate technical requirements into robust, maintainable, and testable software
• Develop tools, interfaces, and test automation for development, SIL, and HIL environments
• Integrate software with hardware, sensors, actuators, simulation environments, and test systems
• Support debugging, fault analysis, system integration, and commissioning
• Contribute to software architecture, technical concepts, requirements, and design documentation
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, automation, and appropriate development processes

Engineer

• Develop, simulate and evaluate algorithms for the flight behavior of unmanned air vehicles and UAV systems.
• Model flight behavior, flight mechanics, aerodynamics, sensors, actuators and propulsion effects.
• Build and advance simulation models, e.g. for trajectories, flight states, system responses and scenarios.
• Analyze radar, sensor and simulation data to assess system performance.
• Work on topics from guidance, navigation & control, flight control and trajectory assessment.
• Perform parameter studies, sensitivity analyses and model validations.
• Coordinate with software, hardware, test engineering, system engineering and customers.
