About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, extend, and maintain software components for missile and aerospace systems
- Translate technical requirements into robust, maintainable, and testable software
- Develop tools, interfaces, and test automation for development, SIL, and HIL environments
- Integrate software with hardware, sensors, actuators, simulation environments, and test systems
- Support debugging, fault analysis, system integration, and commissioning
- Contribute to software architecture, technical concepts, requirements, and design documentation
- Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, automation, and appropriate development processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in a technical field, equivalent vocational training, or comparable practical experience
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience
- Solid programming skills in at least one relevant language, e.g., C, C++, Python, Rust, Java, or equivalent
- Experience with Linux, Git, build systems, debugging, automated testing, or CI/CD
- Understanding of software quality, clean interfaces, traceable documentation, and maintainable architecture
- Analytical, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
- Very good German and English skills for technical coordination, documentation, and collaboration in international project teams
