About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, simulate and evaluate algorithms for the flight behavior of unmanned air vehicles and UAV systems.
- Model flight behavior, flight mechanics, aerodynamics, sensors, actuators and propulsion effects.
- Build and advance simulation models, e.g. for trajectories, flight states, system responses and scenarios.
- Analyze radar, sensor and simulation data to assess system performance.
- Work on topics from guidance, navigation & control, flight control and trajectory assessment.
- Perform parameter studies, sensitivity analyses and model validations.
- Coordinate with software, hardware, test engineering, system engineering and customers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering or a comparable technical field.
- Professional, project or research experience in Aerospace, Defence, UAV, flight mechanics, radar, simulation, algorithms or a related technical environment.
- Strong understanding of physical modeling, dynamics, control engineering or numerical simulation.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C/C++ or comparable development and simulation tools.
- Ability to analyze, model and document complex technical relationships in a structured and comprehensible way.
- Very good German and English skills for technical documentation, coordination and reviews.
