Provide 24/7 technical support to Boeing commercial airplane customers and support safe operation and return to service
Extensive troubleshooting of fuel, engine fuel/control, servicing/routine maintenance, fire protection, and electrical wiring/interconnect systems
Provide technical, design and informational support for production, product support, or in-service issues
Troubleshoot aircraft system problems consistent with operational protocols
Review Boeing documentation (maintenance documentation, parts lists, component manuals) to identify solutions for in-service concerns
Review drawings and installations to resolve customer questions/concerns
Create and support technical documentation (Fleet Team Digest articles, service letters, drawings, specifications, documents, data sets, design folders, test requirements documents, manuals)
Assist with technology development studies by gathering data, supporting testing and documenting findings
Support review of technical design, analysis, and production; participate in design reviews and observe tests and audits
Investigate problems and provide engineering design dispositions for discrepancies
Design and provide analysis of interim and final engineering solutions to return airplanes to revenue service
Work with and possibly direct cross-functional teams to conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for complex design non-conformances
Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment
Support fielded hardware and software across the product lifecycle
Flexibility to address emergent issues and attend important airline meetings off-hours; occasional off-shift work to support 24/7/365 fleet operations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required (Full Time recognized Bachelor of Engineering or Technology (4 years))
8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Overall experience: 10+ years (preferred)
Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred; Master’s degree desirable
Additional AME credentials preferable; B1/B2 license is an advantage
Experience with systems engineering, Fuel Systems, Fire Protection and Electrical Harness Installations
Extensive troubleshooting on ATA 12, ATA 28 (Fuel), ATA 73 (Engine - Fuel and Control), ATA 26 (Fire Protection)
