Provide 24/7 support to Boeing commercial airplane customers, focusing on propulsion main engines service.
Extensive troubleshooting of maintenance and operations issues across ATA 12, ATA 71–80, ATA 49 systems.
Provide technical, design and informational support for production, product support or in-service issues.
Troubleshoot aircraft system problems consistent with operational protocols and conduct root cause analysis.
Review Boeing documentation (maintenance documentation, parts lists, component manuals) to identify solutions for in-service concerns and proactive fleet solutions.
Review drawings and installations to resolve customer questions/concerns.
Support and/or create technical documentation (Fleet Team Digest articles, service letters, drawings, specifications, documents, data sets, design folders, test requirements documents, manuals).
Assist with technology development studies by gathering data, supporting testing and documenting findings.
Support review of technical design, analysis, and production; participate in design reviews and observe tests/audits for compliance.
Assist with investigation of problems and provide engineering design dispositions for discrepancies.
Assist in designing and/or providing analysis of interim and final engineering solutions to return airplanes to revenue service.
Work with and possibly direct cross-functional teams to conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for complex design non-conformances.
Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
Solve problems and provide support of fielded hardware and software across the product lifecycle.
Be flexible to address emergent issues and attend important airline meetings off-hours; occasional off-shift work may be required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required (Full Time recognized Bachelor of Engineering or Technology (4 years)) or higher.
8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., Master’s and related work experience).
Preferred: Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering / Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Additional AME credentials preferable; B1/B2 applicable license is added advantage.
Overall Experience: 10+ Years (preferred).
Experience with systems engineering, engines, propulsion systems, and their installations.
Extensive troubleshooting on ATA 12, ATA 71–80, ATA 49 related systems on commercial airplanes.
Experience with Boeing 7-series airplanes.
Experience supporting end users in a customer service role (highly preferable).
Conversant with aircraft maintenance manuals (AMM and FIM), IPC, WDM, CMM, AHM, and service documentation (FTD, SLs, etc.).
Experience in system failure analysis, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting on Boeing commercial airplane models.
Experience in handling repair, maintenance and retrofit processes, practices, and documentation.
Experience in handling airplane maintenance and flight operation documentation.
Knowledge of Airworthiness Directives and related Service documents.
Knowledge of aircraft safety and quality management systems.
Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Experience collaborating with multiple team functions.
Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience.
Ability to support 24/7 fleet operations and occasional off-shift work.
