About the role
- Designs, analyzes and modifies aerospace manufacturing equipment and tooling that meet stakeholder requirements
- Researches, develops, evaluates and integrates robotics, automation, and new technologies and processes related to equipment and tooling for applicability to programs and products
- Teams with cross-functional subject matter experts to develop and review bids and procurement specifications
- Estimates, plans, manages and executes the acquisition and modification of equipment and tooling
- Develops and implements testing and acceptance to validate performance
- Creates and maintains related documentation for equipment and tooling, develops preventative maintenance plans and trains personnel as needed
- Develops and implements interim solutions for damaged and unsafe equipment and tooling
- Investigates engineering changes and controls equipment and tooling configuration in accordance with company procedures
- Develops and recommends equipment reliability improvements through the application of reliability engineering tooling
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 2 or more years’ experience in engineering
- Production Critical Asset Care & Performance
- Continuous Improvement Methodologies and Application
- Understanding of asset mechanical and electrical systems & concepts
- Project Management Methodologies and Application
- Preferred: 5 or more years’ experience in engineering
- Preferred: Comprehensive understanding of production assets to include system integration, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, power systems, mechanical, tooling and fixturing, etc.
- Preferred: Root Cause Analysis tools and concepts at the highest level
- Preferred: Comprehensive understanding of PLCs, Software, Control Systems, Drives, etc.
- Preferred: Understanding of industry Reliability Engineering techniques and practices, Preventative, Predictive, Prescriptive maintenance practices
- Preferred: Condition Based Monitoring and Maintenance: Thermography, Ultrasound, Tribology, Vibration Analysis, Motor Analysis, Metrology concepts
- Preferred: Asset Life Cycle Analysis, identifying obsolescence and mitigation strategy
- Preferred: Asset Data Integrity, Leads Standards and Development
- Preferred: Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in-depth knowledge
- Preferred: SME Leads Reliability Workshops to drive reliability across all assets and teams; teaches, mentors, and leads by example
- Preferred: Emergent response engineer, leads primary asset communications
