About the role
- Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design
- Verifies structural integrity by defining requirements for development of analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools
- Develops and uses Finite Element Models and understands proper application of loads in FEMs
- Guides product design and verifies structural integrity using analytical methods throughout the product lifecycle
- Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results
- Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of analysis and repair efforts
- Ensures compliance with methodology and processes for stress analysis, DaDT analysis, and finite element modelling
- Defines and documents certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies
- Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements
- Works under minimal direction; expected to be 100% onsite in Tukwila, Washington
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Experience with Finite Element Models (FEM)
- Able to independently construct, execute, review, and manage structural finite element models
- 5 or more years of experience in structural analysis
- Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
