Develop and implement sales strategy for SEA Distribution Business consistent with overall BNY Investments sales strategy
Expand retail distribution channels across client types (Retail Banks, Insurance companies, Fund Platforms, Brokers, IFAs, etc.)
Grow and maintain existing clients and assets
Increase shelf space penetration of BNY Investments products and build strong brand awareness across channels
Maintain understanding of full range of BNY Investments products to provide suitable solutions to distributors and investors
Manage end-to-end business development from initial pitch to onboarding of products and/or clients
Coordinate and ensure delivery of strong after-sales service to clients
Monitor competitive landscape, produce business plans, and maintain robust pipeline of business opportunities
Work with Marketing to design campaigns and support client marketing and sales activities (events, trainings, etc.)
Keep appropriate records in Salesforce of sales activities, meetings, prospective client contacts and activity against targets
Collaborate with Product, Client Services, Marketing, Operations, Legal and Compliance, IM EMEA sales team and Boutiques to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency
Take on institutional distribution coverage within SEA where and when needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing or Finance related)
CFA is preferred
At least 8+ years of total work experience (96+ months)
5+ years within Business Development and Asset Management industry preferred
Track record in bringing in sales, preferably in the Intermediary business
Experience in fund investment sales, account management, sales support (preferably Intermediary Business)
Knowledge of Institutional distribution landscape within SEA is an advantage
Ability to take on coverage of institutional distribution within SEA when needed
Driven, entrepreneurial mentality, self-starter, able to multi-task and highly organized
Strong client database within retail banks and insurance companies is an advantage
Fluent in English; ability to speak a second language is an added advantage
Excellent computer skills; experience in Salesforce, Morningstar and Bloomberg Terminal advantageous
Strong investment knowledge
Strong communication and presentation skills to deal with Fund Selection teams, Relationship Managers and Retail Investors
