About the role

  • Maintain and develop customer relations to sell ASC Profiles Product and meet sales goals established by Outside Sales Representative and the business unit.
  • Develops new sales opportunities with customers in defined channels and segments.
  • Builds relationships with current accounts and customers in assigned territory.
  • Achieve assigned sales territory objectives through steering effort to profitable products and profitable customers.
  • Manages entire sales process in assigned territory, including pricing, quotes, inquiries, follow up and closing of sales.
  • Generates incremental volume in conjunction with inside and outside sales efforts, including marketing new and existing products.
  • Quoting and project management.
  • Partners with sales peers on open bid work to drive further development and closure.
  • Proactively researches and assesses market trends and utilizes information to drive growth in assigned territory.
  • Promotes, trains and supports customers on ASC BP eCommerce site.
  • Utilize the CRM(Salesforce) tool to manage, maintain and communicate lead flow activities.
  • Tracks and reports on market trends to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry news, trends and initiatives.
  • Maintain expense accounts, monthly highlight report.
  • Research and resolve claims; customer site visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or an equivalent area of specialty or a combination of education and experience or combination of experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in an outside sales or business development role is required.
  • Experience with channel, distributor and/or corporate account sales is required.
  • Experience in working with Architects, Designers and Engineers.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints/project drawings and specifications (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of ASC Building Products and AEP Span products and specifications (Preferred).
  • CRM Experience; SalesForce.com preferred (Preferred).
  • Experience in the construction or building materials industry is strongly preferred.
  • Strong sales, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite of software packages.
