Managerial responsibility for a team of 8 or more operators
Responsible for all operational processes, procedures, training, and staff development required to support Remote Operations Center (ROC) operations and functions.
Coordinates with business leaders, divisional, and corporate support groups to ensure continuous development (resources, infrastructure, facilities) of the ROC in support of strategic business objectives and compliance needs.
Performs Real-time operations of distributed asset power generation technologies in Remote Operations Center.
Interfaces with multiple parties for identification, diagnosis and resolution of site operations and maintenance problems, including the site O&M team, site owner, regulatory agencies, and B&V leadership.
Engages in multiple aspects of ROC responsibilities.
Follows scheduled energy dispatch instructions.
Develops processes and procedures for both site-specific projects and the Remote Operations Center.
Schedules and coordinates operator schedules including holidays, OT, and coverage.
Identifies and ensures operator training is completed and developed as needed.
Assists with Monitoring & Diagnostics (M&D) teams using predictive analytics for proactive monitoring of power generation, renewables, process industries and distributed generation assets.
Plans, organizes, and leads project activities as well as manages the cost reduction activities from idea to implementation.
Strong supporting role in client engagement to maintain existing contracts and in the pursuit and capture of new contracts.
Provides labor estimation and costing in support of proposals for ROC services and support.
Creates tracking methods to track progress of the current and future ROC projects.
Achieves goals in various metrics, from contract signature to routine operations using KPIs.
Maintains and records compliance standards and evidence.
Assists operators with daily duties.
Gathers needed information and builds routine reporting as necessary.
Maintains accurate record keeping within B&V guidelines.
Implements and maintains ROC control system software.
Implements and maintains ROC digital logging solution in a ready for audit state.
Ensures quality control standards are met based on B&V guidelines.
Supervises work of others.
Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.
Requirements
A minimum total of 10 years of related work experience is typically necessary to move into this level.

Certifications Industry recognized credentials preferred as may be available and potentially necessary for job function.
Preferred Qualifications Associate degree, certificate, or trades/vocational experience preferred
10+ years of related work experience
Previous Operations experience related to Battery Storage, Solar, Wind, Simple Cycle Thermal Generation, or Combined Cycle Thermal Generation
ROC Lead / Manager experience preferred
Advanced industry knowledge including technology and project management
Advanced knowledge of Power Plant systems and Processes
Intermediate knowledge of NERC responsibilities
Basic knowledge of construction and constructability practices and principles
