About the role
- Participate in the management of the design, development, and enhancement of applications and software platforms supported by the development team
- Apply technical vision and experience to design innovative and pragmatic solutions
- Apply leadership skills to lead small-medium cross-functional teams through the project lifecycle culminating in successful application deployments
- Function as a team liaison and interface with all levels of management and the business user community
- Serve as mentor and training resource for other team members
- Evolve standards and processes based on industry best practices and compliance standards such BJ's SDLC as well as SOX, PCI, and PII regulations
- Provide on-call support for our applications
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or Business administration degree is preferred
- Experience coordinating complex development projects
- Proven system analysis and design skills, and aptitude for guiding programming and system development
- Working knowledge of software used by system development group
- Understanding of the SDLC and SOX requirements
- 5 plus years of experience in the analysis, design and implementation of complex business systems
