About the role

  • Oversee effective utilization and continuous improvement of the Workday platform supporting HR, payroll, finance, and other business functions
  • Evolve governance models, drive release management best practices, and foster incident and change management processes
  • Design, manage, and audit Workday security architecture to support data privacy and compliance
  • Utilize data analytics to develop actionable insights, metrics, trends, and performance indicators for the Workday platform
  • Collaborate with product and technology teams on enterprise design thinking for Workday tenant and shared capabilities
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to evaluate new features and enhancements
  • Ensure platform services availability and compliance with governance, security, privacy, and business continuity policies
  • Oversee day-to-day Workday operations including tenant/configuration management, security, release management, and change management
  • Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning; stay current with Workday releases and evaluate adoption
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to development and functional teams; coach SDLC-like processes for releases and change management

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of Workday experience in a leadership role with core foundation in HCM, Finance, Workday Studio, Workday Integration Cloud, EIBs, and other integration tools
  • Deep knowledge of Workday architecture, configuration, customization, security, integration, reporting, and testing methodologies and tools
  • At least 8 years of experience in Software Engineering and Systems Architecture or Technology Solution design
  • 8+ years architecting, designing, and/or delivering scalable and decoupled systems in a heavily regulated technology environment
  • Experience engaging, influencing, and driving initiatives by partnering with technology executives
  • Experience mentoring software engineers or architects
  • Experience in a regulated environment (HIPAA, PCI, Privacy, SOX, etc.)
  • Strong critical thinking skills and proactive issue resolution
  • Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; eight or more years relevant software engineering experience; five or more years leading a software engineering team
