Lead and manage multi-campus construction projects, overseeing planning, budgeting, execution, and completion.
Coordinate teams and manage resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards.
Serve as worksite representative for dealings with subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and government inspectors.
Manage worksites for new-construction and remodeling projects, coordinating activities to align with project goals.
Provide direction to general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and vendors to ensure quality standards are met.
Prepare and manage estimates, budgets, timetables, and resources.
Identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues.
Adhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements.
Manage Capital Projects Team Worker(s) schedule, workflow, and assignments.
Support permit applications as Bethel’s liaison to City of Redding.
Report directly to the Projects Director and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements
Current, valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Five years of General Contractor experience (Does not require active GC License).
Proficient in all areas of building construction including, but not limited to; framing, drywall work, finish carpentry, minor electrical, and minor plumbing work.
Strong and tested project management skills, including risk management.
Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools.
Experience using a variety of hand and power tools, and the ability to perform a variety of physical labor, including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling,reaching, and standing for long periods of time; lifting and carrying boxes, tools, equipment, and materials.
Ability to recognize problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent.
Ability to evaluate alternatives and find solutions using a systematic, multi-step approach.
Superior interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills.
Experience motivating team members to action and able to identify common themes, make inferences and draw conclusions.
