About the role
- High level specialist providing project management, team leadership, mentoring, and quality advancement for an office/market.
- Initial assignment: project management for healthcare planning and planning stages of a 2.0+ million sq ft facility at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, collaborating with Project Managers and Leaders.
- Lead, develop and nurture partnering client relationships; maintain positive client relations and communicate design, planning, construction issues.
- Establish partnering relationship early to set shared expectations and stakeholder involvement.
- Ensure appropriate client and internal communication, documentation, and lead key meetings and presentations.
- Participate in business development and partner with Marketing and Office Leadership to grow top line.
- Understand contractual obligations; manage scope, approvals, and client payables.
- Lead project teams to develop goals and work plans to achieve quality, budget, schedule, innovation and profitability objectives.
- Facilitate development and management of work plan, budget, and schedule (MS Project, Deltek Project Planning).
- Manage design and documentation process and oversee implementation during construction.
- Maintain project records and documentation in standard file structure.
- Accountable for risk mitigation, compliance, and developing a risk management plan.
- Implement QA/QC processes; monitor technical quality and enforce standards.
- Coordinate with Project Architect and Quality leader; participate in contract negotiation and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related degree required.
- Minimum of 10 years related experience in project management roles required.
- Must have 5 years of experience working on healthcare projects.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare industry processes and terms.
- Capability of performing in a project management role for single or multiple projects.
- Licensure or registration in the United States preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Must have advanced knowledge in discipline.
- Must possess business acumen.
- Must have strong client leadership skills.
- Strong project team management skills, capable of managing single or multiple projects.
- Must be capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, MS Project, Deltek Vision, Bluebeam as well as other data management software is required.
- Weekly onsite presence required.
