Security Engineer

• Participate in project teamwork planning sessions and may take a lead role.
• May assume project engineering responsibilities and adhere to financial and work goals.
• Initiate project designs and help to develop design goals and systems. Perform electrical engineering systems design for building construction.
• Design lighting, power distribution, signaling, communications and/or telecommunication systems for healthcare, education/higher education and commercial clients per applicable codes.

• Complete quality control checks of engineering documents and layout systems in regard to components and parts.
• Participate in value engineering sessions with Architectural/Engineering team.
• Recommend improvements with reference standards and processes to improve quality, coordination, and to streamline production efforts.
• Review and markup of shop drawings and submittals. Respond to RFI’s and review of change orders in the preparation of construction documents.
• Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress. Attend and participate in construction meetings. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site.
• Familiarity with operational technology systems, cyber-informed design principles, NIST SP 800-82, or critical infrastructure security considerations preferred.
• May perform other related tasks as needed.

Electrical III – Cyber Security

General

• Provide relevant knowledge, experience, and expertise to Yellow Brick core team and clients.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specialty services/service lines and other industry standards.
• Identify project risks/concerns, recommend solutions, and work with the project team to mitigate them.
• Ensure project deliverables adhere to Yellow Brick standards and are completed within the project’s expected timeframe.
• Facilitate and manage meetings and workgroups and contribute to the development of project deliverables.

• Conduct on-site facility condition assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team on existing buildings and civil assets.
• Evaluate mechanical systems such as the HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, cooling towers, chillers, and boilers.
• Work with the client and other on-site personnel to assess assets maintaining a typical walk rate ranging between 100,000 to 225,000 building square feet per day
• Provide written technical descriptions of the systems observed and of their deficiencies

This includes identifying deficiencies of HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, cooling towers, chillers, and boilers and providing written narratives of the description, critical issue, and recommendations to remediate
• Work with client and other on-site personnel to assess client assets by maintaining a typical daily walk rate from 100,000 to 225,000 square feet per day

• Conduct on-site facility assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team on existing buildings, evaluating building electrical systems, including emergency power, photovoltaic, fire alarm, security, data communication, and surveillance systems.
• Work effectively and efficiently with client and other on-site personnel to assess client assets; maintain average daily walk rate of 125-250k square feet.
• Determine the condition, remaining useful life, required costs, and remedial measures for electrical and low-voltage systems.
• Provide technical identification and description of deficiencies ranging from concerns to critical issues.
• Identify recommendations for correction and describe them with sufficient technical detail for future project planning and cost estimating.

• Lead project departmental user meetings prioritizing equipment selections and oversight.

Medical Equipment Planner

• Research and generate new items and CSI MasterFormat divisions to the database including descriptions, scope clarifications, markups, labor, material, and equipment costs
• Update existing unit costs; expand and clarify existing item descriptions and scope
• Identify relationships between items, quantities, and costs to combine multiple items into assembly-based unit costs
• Evaluate, approve or reject contractor submitted items and costs

Health Project Planner, Level V

Administration

• Be a prime liaison between builder, client/owner, and design teams.
• Lead and contribute with other team members in developing and maintaining the project Risk Assessment process during Construction Administration.
• Proactively identify potential risks during the Construction Administration process; communicate, mitigate and collaboratively resolve project-related issues.
• Work with overall Project Director and individual Project Managers to assign team members to various scopes of the Construction Administration process.
• Manage internal Construction Administration efforts and team, both on site, remotely in offices, working closely with Construction Administration Coordinators, Document Control and Quality Leaders.
• Guide the team to implement the firm’s Construction Administration policies.
• Meet regularly with the project’s Senior Project Architect(s) and Engineering Discipline Leaders to discuss quality reviews and ongoing challenges seeking to resolve issues early.
• Attend site meetings, including but not limited to scheduling, cost management, pre-installation, and weekly meetings. Review and edit, as necessary, the official meeting minutes issued by the contractor.
• Review progress of work on site. Prepare site visit and other reports as contractually obligated.
• Lead, monitor and participate in the review and interpretation of construction documents, the development and issuance of documentation related to field conditions and issues, and coordination of the work with consultants and the project team.
• Lead, monitor and participate in the resolution of problems that arise on the construction site, development of recommendations and coordination of changes to the contract documents.
• Lead, monitor and participate in tracking the changes made to documents and applying appropriate reason codes and the internal cost tracking log related to changes and reason codes.
• Identify key risk issues and engage senior project leadership and risk management teams when needed.

Senior Construction Administrator

• Be a daily, on-site liaison between construction managers/general contractors, client/owner, owner’s consultants and AE teams. Attend site meetings include scheduling, cost management, pre-installation, RFI, and weekly Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings as required.
• Review and interpret construction documents and develop and issue sketches related to field conditions and issues, coordinate the work with consultants, owner’s consultants and the project team.
• Process, review and answer Request for Information and submittals within the contractual timeframes.
• Resolve problems which arise on the jobsite, coordinate bulletins to the contract documents, make recommendations, and consult Sr. Construction Administration Leadership on all issues related to the project.
• Monitor, review, and process closeout submittals and perform periodic QA/QC construction site visits, including substantial presence at the construction site.
• Coordinate with the Design team members as needed to interpret and process the documents noted above.
• Prepare daily and other reports as required by the contract.
• Perform as an integral member of the internal construction administration efforts and team.
• Adhere to established on-site project procedures.
• Adhere to safety program requirements and work rules.
• Will work under the supervision of a Licensed Architect.

Construction Administrator

Electrical Engineer

• Lead electrical engineering efforts for multiple active projects through planning, design, construction documentation, bidding, and construction administration phases.
• Coordinate electrical systems design with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders to achieve integrated project solutions.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients regarding electrical infrastructure, power distribution, resiliency, and project objectives.
• Perform technical reviews of electrical engineering designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure quality, constructability, maintainability, and code compliance.
• Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality management activities.
• Conduct field observations, jobsite visits, and construction meetings to verify installation quality and support issue resolution.
• Mentor engineering staff and contribute to technical development, quality improvement, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Support the implementation and verification of cyber-informed design principles and operational technology security requirements for critical infrastructure projects.
• Apply and interpret NIST SP 800-82 guidance and industry best practices when evaluating operational technology systems supporting electrical and MEP infrastructure.
• Coordinate with clients, facility operators, technology consultants, and engineering teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with connected building systems and operational technology networks.

Project Electrical Engineer IV – Cyber Security

Designer

• Partner with project leadership, clients, and consultants to define and lead project-specific digital strategies encompassing BIM, VDC, data management, and technology integration from pursuit through delivery.
• Lead the development and review of contractual and digital deliverables, including BIM Execution Plans; escalate contractual or scope conflicts to Design Technology and Legal teams as needed.
• Identify and own project digital requirements, including BIM strategies, data exchange protocols, advanced model delivery, and digitally enabled workflows.
• Establish and oversee model management frameworks for large or complex programs, including audits, performance metrics, optimization strategies, and consistency across multiple teams or packages.
• Lead and facilitate digital coordination and client and consultant meetings (e.g., BIM/GIS coordination, clash detection, digitally enabled design reviews).
• Oversee software lifecycle compatibility, file version management, and data exchange strategies to ensure interoperability and efficiency within project team and consultants.
• Lead onboarding for CannonDesign and consultant team members, ensuring consistent understanding of digital strategy, workflows, collaboration platforms, and firm standards.
• Partner with the Design Technology team to define and implement best practices, standard workflows, and scalable processes for large programs.
• Mentor project teams in the implementation of firm tools, workflows, and emerging digital practices.
• Identify gaps in firm tools, capabilities, or processes and propose enhancements or new technologies to improve project outcomes and advance firm expertise.
• Lead the evaluation, piloting, and integration of new digital tools and workflows on projects; collaborate with Design Technology to scale successful solutions across teams and offices.
• Manage member access, permissions, and project-specific licenses for digital environments; ensure compliance and coordinate with IT and Design Technology on access strategies
