About the role
- Work with company customers to review energy usage and strategies and implement best practices.
- Support and manage the O&M of the Central Energy Plant (CEP) for the campus.
- Mentor the owner's staff on O&M and energy usage of the facility.
- Review energy usage daily and provide guidance, best practices, and modifications of current operations.
- Manage CEP operation and maintenance including subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers.
- Manage Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the CEP.
- Work with operators to ensure plant operates efficiently and perform ongoing training of Plant Operators.
- Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual.
- Assist EPC team with coordination of engineering, procurement and construction activities with OMC operations.
- Coordinate on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts with remote support services team.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in mechanical construction with a large mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant or 2-3 years of management experience in a central plant or facility.
- Well versed in building codes and associated standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
- Preferred: 4 year Mechanical Engineering degree (ABET Accredited Program).
- Preferred: FE preferred.
- Travel: 0-5% of the time.
