Provides engineering/technical leadership and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems across project phases.
Manages technical consultants and contingent labor to meet team demands.
Leads PMC project\'s engineering aspects across development through turnover; ensures scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration.
Works under general direction of a Project Director or Senior PM; acts as technical conscience throughout project execution.
Responsible for portfolio of projects with Low to Moderate risk for Engineer III; Senior with Moderate to High risk, involving multiple vendors and stakeholders.
Requirements
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program OR state registration as a Professional Engineer; Master’s degree can be considered in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree.
Engineer III: Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
Senior Engineer: Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience with PE OR Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering experience without PE.
Willingness to travel; Total travel approaching 50% (2–3 days per week).
Hybrid work arrangement with frequent travel to project sites and Duke Energy facilities.
