Application Engineer

• Develop detailed technical proposals for Benshaw’s custom motor control solutions.
• Serve as the technical liaison between sales, engineering, and the customer.
• Own the front-end of the order process from RFQ through hand-off to engineering.
• Review customer specifications, analyze technical requirements, and determine deliverables and constraints.
• Prioritize RFQs based on win probability and resource availability.
• Review contractual terms and support pre-award activities, including bid conferences when needed.
• Prepare complete quotation packages and support front-end project management.
• Initiate and lead internal kick-off meetings to transition awarded projects to engineering.
• Assess orders and determine if escalation to Program Management is needed.
• Serve as the main point of contact for technical communications related to proposals.
• Provide high-level project oversight and occasional customer-facing travel to support external sales team.
