Account Executive

• Drive new business within territory engaging small biotech and life sciences companies
• Own the full sales cycle from identifying and prospecting new accounts to closing deals

Inside Sales Representative

Full-stack Engineer

• You’ll build and own core features for our scientific data analysis product and platform, including machine learning features to optimize experiments and AI-powered features to help scientists explore and understand their data.
• You'll work across our full stack, tackling challenges from the front-end UI, our back-end architecture, to our machine learning pipelines.
• You'll be a key partner to product and design, collaborating to transform ideas into thoughtful, high-quality features for our users.

Developer Relations

• Build and implement tooling for efficient, frictionless development, testing, and packaging for production release.
• Lead the design and development of release tooling that enables code changes to reach production within 10 minutes.
• Iterate on developer experience improvements using qualitative and quantitative feedback.
• Implement feedback loops that integrate quality into software development workflows.

Software Engineer, Infrastructure – Developer Experience

• Lead and grow a team of infrastructure engineers including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development across all levels of the team.
• Own delivery and outcomes for critical infrastructure and services-platform initiatives including reliability, scalability, cost, security posture, and compliance-aligned engineering practices.
• Drive reliability improvements using pragmatic SRE principles: service-level thinking (SLIs/SLOs), operational readiness, automation, and resiliency patterns.
• Strengthen incident response: improve on-call health, incident processes, postmortems, and follow-up execution in collaboration with product engineering and platform teams.
• Build and evolve cloud foundations on AWS, including network and compute patterns and Kubernetes-based services.

• Talk to admins at our customers to understand pain points in current workflows and opportunities for us to delight them

• Take ownership of projects from ideation to delivery, including prototyping, building, and scaling new software features.

Software Engineer, Full Stack – Admin & Identity Platform

Infrastructure Engineer

• Build, maintain, and improve foundational infrastructure and platform services used by product engineering teams.
• Partner directly with product teams to define requirements, design paved paths, and reduce friction in deploying and operating services.
• Contribute to our Kubernetes-based platform (e.g., Kubernetes, Istio), including service configuration, traffic management, and platform tooling.
• Develop and operate AWS infrastructure and automation (e.g., EKS/ECS, RDS, VPC, EC2, S3), with an emphasis on scalability, cost-awareness, and resiliency.

Sales Development Rep

• Create a fantastic first impression with prospects and customers while building pipeline for Account Executives
• Follow up and qualify inbound requests and MQLs, via the telephone and email, for scientific fit

• Define the right Service Level Objectives for the batch & streaming pipelines, and optimize their performance

Software Engineer, Big Data Infrastructure

• Drive the design and development of innovative products and systems that advance Benchling's product and business goals, serving as a technical expert within the team
• Independently architect and implement solutions to complex, open-ended problems in areas such as comprehensive audit coverage, scalable export systems, document lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance workflows
