About the role

  • Drive revenue generation within groups and events sales by developing and executing comprehensive sales action plans, managing key accounts, and fostering strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners
  • Qualify leads, prepare detailed offers and manage negotiations to result in confirmed bookings
  • Lead, guide and mentor a team of sales professionals across the UK and Europe to develop and deliver their strategic sales action plans resulting in exceptional team performance
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with key contacts within owned accounts and conduct property/product training, host client events, and plan educational trips to key Belmond destinations
  • Analyse market conditions, trends and competitor activities to provide valuable feedback and insights to the Divisional Director and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with the Divisional Director of Sales and other teams to ensure strategies are aligned and assist in organisation of sales events, trade shows and the Belmond Conference and Incentive Planners Advisory Board
  • Maintain accurate account databases, manage budgets, and prepare sales reports
  • Ensure operational efficiency and strategic execution

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ of relevant experience within a similar Client Sales Director role in the luxury hospitality/travel industry along with significant MICE experience within the UK and European markets
  • A history of harvesting business through existing accounts, clienteling and bringing on board new valuable clients
  • Experience in developing a sales action plans aimed at establishing positive, ongoing relationships with clients and strong Win-Win partnerships
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience and strong track record in leading individual contributors and managing teams for consistent success both within and outside of UK
