About the role
- Own and execute Bedrock’s sales strategy
- Own the full sales cycle — from strategy to execution — and shape Bedrock’s revenue engine
- Identify, qualify, and close multi-million-dollar contracts with enterprise buyers, often involving technical evaluation teams, regulatory bodies, and C-suite decision-makers
- Build, lead, and mentor a small but high-performing sales team
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders — from procurement officers to CTOs and GMs
- Drive pipeline generation, forecast accuracy, and CRM discipline
- Collaborate cross-functionally with BD, operations, marketing, and leadership to align sales with company priorities
- Represent Bedrock at industry events, demos, and strategic meetings
- Measured by revenue growth, contract wins, strategic partnerships, and successful launch of scalable go-to-market systems
Requirements
- Deep experience selling ocean survey services or related subsea data offerings
- Experience selling seabed data products or geospatial intelligence solutions
- Familiarity with government sales or dual-use markets
- Proven success in complex enterprise sales with long cycles and multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and scale early sales teams in high-growth environments
- Background in technical sales within robotics, autonomy, or deep tech industries
- Familiarity with buyers in offshore energy, maritime infrastructure, or environmental data markets
- Strong understanding of public and private procurement processes (e.g., RFPs, contracting)
- Experience structuring complex sales models, including firm-fixed pricing, subscriptions, or data licensing
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder at both executive and field levels
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently in an early-stage environment
- Experience with offshore wind, subsea infrastructure, or marine technology markets is a strong plus
- International experience (preferably inclusive of Western Europe)
- U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident preferred due to potential defense-related engagements
