About the role
- The Senior Production Strategist is a critical contributor to the agency's growth, serving as the primary production lead for business development opportunities
- This role oversees the production response to new and organic business opportunities, resource allocation, vendor management, and project handoffs
- The Production Strategist ensures seamless collaboration with key stakeholders and sets the foundation for successful project execution
- Key Responsibilities: New Business & Organic Business Development – 70%
- Serve as the senior production lead on new and organic business opportunities, influencing feasibility, pricing strategy, and operational approach
- Shape and execute the production response process, including budgets, timelines, staffing models, and logistics
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership and department heads to evaluate opportunities, assess viability, and define resource and budget needs
- Partner with the VP of Agency Growth and Senior Producer, Experiential Operations to apply the agency's scoring framework and determine pursuit strategy
- Represent Production in strategic discussions to refine deliverables, improve win rates, and drive cross-functional alignment
- Present production deliverables during live or virtual pitches, ensuring strategic alignment with client goals and agency capabilities
- Lead feasibility input on creative concepts and work with internal teams to ensure operational integrity
- Manage multiple simultaneous opportunities across varied scope, size, and complexity
- Coordinate with freelance and full-time production resources as needed to enhance responses
- Resource Management – 7%
- Identify the right internal and freelance resources for new project pursuits, factoring in skillset, availability, and fit
- Collaborate with Production leadership and Experiential Operations to recommend assignments and flag potential resourcing gaps
- Provide insights to support resource planning and utilization strategy
- Vendor Management – 7%
- Lead vendor outreach and scope conversations during business development cycles
- Evaluate vendor capabilities and provide clear direction to align estimates with pitch expectations
- Collaborate with Experiential Operations to grow and refine the agency’s preferred vendor network
- Project Transition & Oversight – 7%
- Own the handoff process for awarded projects, ensuring full alignment on scope, budget, and timeline
- Develop and deliver comprehensive transition materials to Client Services, Production, and Creative teams
- Attend kickoff meetings and remain a strategic touchpoint through early execution
- Maintain visibility into key projects to ensure promises made during pitch are upheld
- Process & Protocol Development – 7%
- Drive the improvement of business development processes, tools, and templates
- Help evolve pricing, feasibility, and staffing models that increase speed and accuracy
- Collaborate with the VP of Agency Growth and Experiential Operations on system improvements that benefit cross-departmental workflows
- Collaborate with the VP of Agency Growth as needed to support development of production-related sales tools, pitch decks, or case studies
- Administrative – 2%
- Execute internal production processes, including time tracking, expense management, partner payment processing, and data entry
- Attend team meetings regularly, providing updates on business development status
