About the role
- Lead the development and execution of multigeneration product portfolio strategy through coordination with cross-functional teams
- Drive the new product development and introduction process, ensuring successful launch and commercialization
- Work cross-functionally to manage the overall life cycle of assigned product lines
- Evaluate and craft financially sound business proposals for new products and partnerships
- Collect and monitor voice of customer, competitive insights, market, and technology trends
- Establish pricing positioning and monitor product pricing vs. the competition
- Partner with R&D, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to adjust the product line
- Conduct business analyses for assigned products/product lines to support business planning
- Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to develop and execute marketing plans
- Ensure appropriate technical support for sales and field applications teams
- Effectively communicate product forecasts and actively represent in Demand, Supply, and Operational Planning
Requirements
- Degree level qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of relevant product management experience within diagnostic or life sciences industries
- Solid product management foundation in managing instrumentation portfolios through their entire lifecycle
- Experience with molecular instrumentation is strongly preferred
- Proven success in leading global new product development projects through the stage gate process
- Knowledge of molecular diagnostic laboratory instrumentation and workflow
- Strong analytical skills with ability to conduct and interpret financial analysis related to the product portfolio
- Record of leading and managing cross-functional teams and navigating within a matrix organization
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Willing to travel up to 25%
