About the role
- Take over monthly budget vs. actual analysis and establish regular reporting cadence with department heads
- Learn current accounting workflows, understand how entries hit different accounts, and map existing financial reporting processes
- Shadow customer meetings and product launches to understand revenue streams and cost structures
- Establish working relationships with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams for pricing and margin modeling
- Help with vendor spend analysis and card program management
- Own the complete budget process and develop quarterly rolling forecasts for revenue, expenses, and cash flows
- Build financial models to analyze profitability by customer segment and product line
- Contribute to scenario analysis and long-term planning alongside treasury operations
- Streamline vendor onboarding processes and optimize organizational spend
- Create standardized monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for leadership
- Own comprehensive cash flow model and burn forecast to support fundraising and investor communications
- Lead pricing and margin modeling projects for new product launches
- Prepare financial sections of board decks and investor updates
- Support capital allocation and legal entity planning as the business scales
- Implement systems and processes to automate and scale financial operations
Requirements
- Experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Ability to build multi-year cash flow and burn forecasts
- Experience with customer profitability and margin modeling
- Experience preparing board decks and investor materials
- Familiarity with accounting workflows and financial reporting
- Vendor management and spend optimization experience
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams
- Support treasury operations and scenario and long-term planning
- Process automation and systems implementation experience
- Willingness to shadow customer meetings and product launches
- Resume required
- Ability to commute to NYC 2 -3 days per week (position may be NYC-based)
