• Collaborate closely with the Art Director.
• Guide and mentor a team of Character Designers, providing creative feedback to ensure designs achieve the quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Modeling and Surfacing departments by providing visual references, paintovers, and feedback.
• Develop and refine character designs in collaboration with the Art Director and Director.
• Create key character designs, expressions, poses, and model sheets that align with the project’s visual style.
• Lead and supervise a team of Character Designers by assigning work and providing feedback.
• Ensure all character designs maintain a high level of quality and align with the established art direction.
• Provide paintovers, references, and visual feedback to support the Modeling and Surfacing teams.
• Maintain a strong focus on creative continuity, silhouette, appeal, anatomy, and functionality throughout production.
• Prepare and present artwork deliverables for reviews, approvals, and production milestones.
• Provide creative solutions that support both the artistic vision and production deadlines.

3D Character Design Lead – TV Featurette

• Supervise all Animators with respect to their weekly assignments, ensuring the assigned style is followed and maintained throughout production.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment and assigning animation tasks.
• Ensure that Directors’ notes and revisions are followed and integrated in line with the production’s style and vision.
• Review and approve all production creative materials (e.g., posing, animated scenes in sequences) before submission to the Director/Client.
• Address any creative or technical challenges related to animation and ensure that solutions align with the overall production goals.
• Ensure animation assignments are completed within project deadlines and milestones, in collaboration with the Line Producer, Animation Director, and Production department.
• Work with all departments within the pipeline to ensure smooth integration of animations into the overall production process.
• Share knowledge and participate in department meetings to ensure alignment with overall project goals.
• Participate in the recruiting process as required for your project.
